I told my friend that I was gonna cop these today, when then dropped. Well, it’s today, and they dropped, and I copped. I think the shoe is a pretty dope causal shoe. Dope colors, and the choice of 3 different laces make ‘em unique. One problem though, according to my friend, they’re “New Balances.” I think since New Balance is equated to no swag, or not being cool, or being broke, that they’re not cool to cop. He started making jokes about how I should cop sketches or filas next. I’ll admit, those jokes were funny, but that still doesn’t take away from the fact that the shoe is a dope shoe. I think so many people are caught up in what brands are hot, or the big name brand, or what every celebrity is wearing, that they lose a sense of what YOU think is dope. I’m not a big fan of the jean jacket/hoody craze that everyone is going through now. I wouldn’t really see myself wearing the jean jacket like that. Maybe a different jacket, like a varsity, or a leather, but not a jean. Just find what YOU like. That’s all that should really matter. If you swag it out, people won’t even care about the brand. Like, I wouldn’t give a damn about what kind of brand a chick wore, as long as she wore the shit out of it. One thing I always liked about my ex, is I had not one bit of clue what brand clothes she wore, but she swagged those shits out, and made them work for her. Make. The. Shit. Work. Also, if a chick was checking for me particularly because I wear a certain brand, I really don’t want your ass anyways. Don’t like me just because I have on black cements. Like me because I wear the shits with confidence. You don’t gotta a closet full of high end shit to have “swag”. A few good, quality pieces should work, like jackets and jeans should be higher quality, and add other things, like shirts & hats, and shoes to make it all work. Do what YOU feel comfortable with. If it’s following the norm, so be it, but make sure it’s YOU. Don’t feel uncomfortable with your style. I don’t know where I was trying to go with that, but I guess I got there. lol
